How does Global Search RC handle your data?

We collect only what you send us and a little about how you found the site. We use it to reply, to run searches and to match candidates with roles. We never share a candidate's details with a client without their agreement, and we never sell personal data.

Who is responsible for your data

Global Search RC Limited ("Global Search RC", "we") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12784720.

You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@globalsearchrc.com, or by post at Lime Tree Court, Cardiff, Wales CF23 8AB.

What data we collect

We only collect what you give us, and a small amount of information about how you reached the site.

  • When you contact us or request the Talent Insights Report: your name, work email, company, whether you are hiring or looking for a role, and anything you choose to write in the message field.
  • When you work with us as a candidate: the career information you share with us, such as your CV, employment history, compensation expectations and the roles you are interested in.
  • When you work with us as a client: the names and business contact details of the people we deal with, and the details of the roles you ask us to fill.
  • How you found the site: the campaign tags, referring site and ad click identifiers in the link you arrived on. This is stored in your own browser and only sent to us if you submit a form.
  • How the site is used: pages viewed and general device and location information, through Google Analytics. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland this is only collected if you allow it.

How we use it, and on what basis

We use your data to reply to you, to run searches on behalf of our clients, to match candidates with roles, to send you the report you asked for, and to understand which parts of our marketing work.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a specialist recruitment business and responding to the people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where the law requires consent, such as analytics cookies for UK and EEA visitors, we ask for it first.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Candidates: when we share your profile

We will not send your CV or identify you to a client without first telling you which role it is for and getting your agreement. Searches are confidential in both directions: we do not tell other candidates who a client is hiring, and we do not tell clients who else is in a process.

If you register with us without applying for a specific role, we keep your details so we can contact you about relevant opportunities. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with clients, where a candidate has agreed, and with the service providers that help us run the business. Those providers act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.

  • HighLevel, our customer relationship management system, which receives enquiries submitted through this site.
  • Our applicant tracking system, which holds candidate records.
  • Google, which provides Tag Manager and Analytics.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.

International transfers

Most of our clients are in the United States, and several of our service providers process data there. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK GDPR provides for, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us.

Candidate records are kept while they are useful for matching you with roles. Records we no longer need are deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Cookies and similar technology

This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. For visitors in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are off by default and stay off unless you allow them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, advertising storage is turned off wherever you are.

We also store a small record in your browser's local storage of how you first and most recently arrived at the site. It never leaves your device unless you submit a form, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to move it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To use any of these rights, email info@globalsearchrc.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

If you are in the United States

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws can use the rights above, including access and deletion, by emailing us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top.
